Vue Lacustre
A muted landscape oil painting on hard carton from the home and atelier of French artist Cécile Hertz-Eyrolles (1875–1974). The work has the atelier stamp on the back of the painting.
This muted landscape shows a rolling valley, and a lake below, with a mountain range and dusty sky. The greens and blues in the painting are super muted, and the result is a faded effect, that creates a minimalistic neutral. As one of the larger landscapes in this series, "Vue Lacustre" could be framed and have a significant presence on a wall, or mounted as is. It's a piece that would match almost any space.
Condition to note: There are a few marks on the surface of the painting, and the corners are rounded a bit from age. Otherwise good condition.
