Luxembourg Gardens

This early 20th-century oil on canvas, signed in the bottom right, is one of the largest pieces in the collection. It depicts a view of the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris, one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe. Located in the 6th arrondissement, the work offers us a picturesque perspective from the early 1900s.

The scene is rich in detail: subtle reflections of the central fountain and obelisk on the water, a vibrant palette surrounding the octagonal basin, and sculptures delicately hidden behind the trees. A beam of light highlights the Three Cherubs fountain, located at the center of one of Parisians' favorite ponds.
