Stoneware & Apple
£322.00
20th-century Dutch School oil on wood signed V. Wisser (20th century) and dated '43 for 1943. The work is smooth to the touch.
A still life featuring an apple and a stoneware water jug, painted with fine, detailed brushstrokes. The composition is set on a white tablecloth, which is laid on a plaid piece of fabric. The background colors and rectangular shapes create a contrast with the roundness of the subjects. Shadows and reflections are depicted with a realistic touch. A small stucco and wood frame enhances the brightness of the artwork.
