20th-century large scale and impressive still life, featuring a porcelain pitcher illuminated on a table, surrounded by pears and a white dish, against a draped deep red curtain. The way the light illuminates the two porcelain pieces in the scene, captures the drama of the scene, while retaining a muted peacefulness.
