Porcelaine
A vibrant still life on hard carton from the home and atelier of French artist Cécile Hertz-Eyrolles (1875–1974). The work has the atelier stamp on the back of the painting.
This still life features a porcelain teapot and cup and saucer on a red lacquer tray with a gold rim. A glass of water sits to the left side, all on a white surface or linen. The background of this painting creates dynamism with the mix of patterns, textile and colors. A turquoise wall and yellow and red floral curtain bring unexpected brightness and joy to this interior scene.
