A stunning still life painting on canvas mounted on hard carton from the home and atelier of French artist Cécile Hertz-Eyrolles (1875–1974). The work has the atelier stamp on the back of the painting.

This still life painting, shows two fish, still in their market wrapping paper. The details on the fish and the wrapping paper are illuminated in bright whites and gold tones, used by Cécile to show the reflective surfaces. The fish and paper gleam off of a brown neutral background, and the painting feels both organic and bold. Paired with an original antique frame, this painting is a fine piece for any collector, and bears the harmony and skill of its artist.

Condition to note: The painting surface and frame are both in exceptional condition for their age.
