Antique coastal oil painting: French School of the twentieth-century oil on panel. The work is very smooth on its surface with some notable relief of brushstroke and paint knife on the clouds and setting sun. 

An Impressionist landscape with a slightly tinted natural light. The colors on the dawn lines are worked with ochre orange and pearl gray shades. The small carved wood frame has slightly matte gilding that goes perfectly with the palette of the work.
