20th-century French school oil on wood. The work has texture to the touch.

This lovely oil painting on wood of a seascape and peaceful sky, has a notable crack in the wood that has been repaired at the level of the horizon. The crack goes all the way across the wood panel and has been closed/repaired with wood glue and framers tape on the back. It is still a noticeable defect, but adds to the charm of the piece and is less pronounced due to its placement. 

The wood frame itself is not antique.
