This small-scale, quintessentially French oil painting on canvas signed in the lower right-hand corner and inscribed on the back as L. Darriet, attributed to Leontine Darriet, born in 1842.

Painted in the late 1800s or early 1900s, this artwork uses rich colors and oils to depict a lush landscape, with farmhouses nestled into the greenery. The sky is dynamic and lovely. This piece is perfect to nestle on a bookshelf, or to highlight within a vignette.
