March Painting Drop; An Unexpected Theme

We have a fantastic antique oil painting collection launching on the website this week. For those of you who are joining us for the first time, we make the collection live all at once, and then it is first come first serve. We announce the time and date of our drop via the newsletter, and also send a preview via email a few days before the actual drop.

The process of buying paintings requires a lot of energy, and a fair amount of luck as well. Besides having an eye for specific styles and periods, we hope we are in the right place at the right time to find paintings that speak to us and will be appreciated by you and our community. It is charming and wonderful, then, when a them is accidentally created. For the March collection, we were pleasantly surprised to have so many paintings of water - rivers, streams, ponds, marais, the sea, coastlines... We pulled a few of the examples here, to show you in advance of the drop.
