A serene oil painting on hard carton from the home and atelier of French artist Cécile Hertz-Eyrolles (1875–1974). The work has the atelier stamp on the back of the painting.
This interior painting scene shows a woman at her breakfast table, surrounded by porcelain plates, as well as an oil and vinegar duo. The woman rests her cheek on her hand, completely relaxed. The painting represents one of Cécile's favorite subjects: life at home. The muted, feminine colors, also suggest a sweetness and intimacy.
