20th-century French school oil on carton. The work is smooth to the touch.

A fun brocante painting, with a slight primitive feeling. The exaggerated field showcases the depth of color and brushstroke. Two figures in hats stand in front of grazing cows. The simplicity is joyful here.

There are some missing flecks of paint, notably on the cows and along the edges where the field meets the mountains. The effect is sweet and distressed. Please note that the frame itself is not an authentic antique.
