Vue Verdoyante

A framed landscape monogrammed VL for Ludovic Vallée (1864-1939) in the bottom left corner. This charming small format on carton depicts a countryside landscape with a few houses on the right. The overlapping layers of vegetation, painted with quick strokes, create a lush scene with a rich variation of green tones. The work oscillates between a pointillist and an impressionist approach, resulting in a piece full of charm in its original light wooden frame.
