A unique still life on canvas mounted on hard carton from the home and atelier of French artist Cécile Hertz-Eyrolles (1875–1974). The work has the atelier stamp on the back of the painting.
This still life features a stoneware pot and porcelain plate holding fish, a lemon and some parsley. A fish in the foreground is the focus, its white belly exposed against the muted brown surface and background. The browns in this painting have deep green undertones, and create an organic painting, perfect for a warm and modern interior or adding depth to a light room.
Condition to note: The painting is in excellent condition for its age. No damages to note.
