Antique French Oil Painting: Small scale oil on carton signed Fernand Lejeune. There are beautiful thicknesses and layers to the work, giving a depth and dynamism to the hills. The palette is dark but channels a beautiful light on the village. The perspectives and forms are powerful and seem to envelop this church and its dwellings like a well-protected secret.
