Original French Oil Painting Still Life: Oil painting on stretched canvas from the 19th-century French School, signed in the lower left, Aline Le Mouton (1892-1971).

Le Mouton offers us a composition rich in material on the canvas, with a special focus on the bouquet. The teal blue background is smooth, with lighter layers to support reliefs and shadows. The entire painting gives off a powerful natural light, with the sweet bisque and vanilla colors of the vase, and the rich tones of the florals.

About the artist: Le Mouton is from the Rouen School and she attended the Beaux-Arts in this Normandy capital. She traveled extensively in Europe, and across the world. She produced many landscapes in tawny colors, while her florals are deep and powerful.
