Near the Field

Original oil painting: Antique Oil painting on stretched canvas. An impressionist work signed Paul Sébilleau (1847-1907) and dated April 1903. You can see a country lane and a field in the background. Sébilleau created his works with beautiful natural light and realistic color gradients. This is a fine impressionist work, highlighted by its carved wooden frame.
About the artist: Paul Sébilleau was part of a line of Bordeaux landscape painters who were influenced by Corot and Courbet. The Gironde, Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, and the Dordogne were his favorite subjects. Sébilleau exhibited in Parisian salons, Bordeaux and in the USA.
