Lons-Le-Saunier

20th-century French school oil painting on carton. The work has a little texture to the touch. On the back: The work is located as the Parc of Lons-Le-Saunier in the Jura and dated 1922.

A lovely example of a small scale 1920's French landscape painting, in an original frame. The featured riverbank or pond is dotted in light, both in the trees and in the reflections in the water. The artist used ample paint to create strong dynamic effects.
