Fine art: A watercolor under glass signed Marius Wulfart (1905 - 1991). A work full of light and movement, you can see a woman in a 1930s blue dress walking the streets of Paris. The colors of the watercolor dance to the rhythms of the Roaring Twenties, imperial green mingling with sage hues and daring yellow chromes. For his entire career, Marius painted with a broad and deep touch, using rich subjects and scenes.

Marius was very close to his father Max, who came from Russia to start all over again In Paris. His father was also in the Fine Arts, and had a renowned talent noted by academics. He exhibited regularly in Parisian salons.

Marius also wanted to become a painter. He observed his father at work and trained with him in his father's workshop. The career of Marius Woulfart took place mainly from the south of France. He set up his studio in Cannes, then in Grasse, but his painting was not confined to a regional audience. Very visible in Paris, he exhibited regularly at the Salon d'Automne in Paris and his personal exhibitions were hosted in prestigious galleries such as the Galerie du Vieux Colombier, the Galerie des Champs Elysées or the Galerie Georges V. His works can be seen in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris. Globally, he exhibited in England, as well as in Canada and Florida.

Marius was particularly attached to his audience in the south of France. He liked to show his work in the warm light of the south of France and regularly participated in the Menton biennial. Nice (the Negresco gallery and the Palais de la Mediterranee), Grasse, Bordeaux, Antibes, Cannes were the places of solo exhibitions, where he was always favorably received. His works are collected by the princely family of Monaco, such as Florence Gould. Marius is a knight of Arts and Letters and died in Grasse in 1991.
