Antique French Original Oil Painting: Signed oil painting on a wood panel. Considered an example of the modern school, the artist has depicted a wooded area with thick foliage in the foreground. The chiaroscuro, the treatment of light and shadow, creates a nice symmetry and permits light to diffuse gently upwards.
